Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the face paint.
Are your paints safe?
Yes, I use only hypoallergenic professional paints from top American and European brands that are FDA-approved and specially formulated for use on the skin. These include brands like TAG, FAB, Diamond FX, Wolfe Brothers, Mehron, and Paradise. Our glitter is also safe: it’s a soft, polyester cosmetic glitter suitable for skin, lips, and eyelids.

To minimize risks, I only use synthetic brushes to avoid potential wool allergies.
Do you need anything provided for your work?
I bring everything necessary with me—table, chairs, mirror, and other materials. I only need a spot where I can set up comfortably without blocking guest pathways. It’s also essential that this spot be in the shade, as intense sunlight can cause children to overheat quickly, leading to discomfort or even heatstroke.
How to remove face paint?
Removing face paint is very simple since it is water-based. You can easily wipe most of it off using baby wipes or a wet cloth.

To completely remove the paint, use baby soap with warm water. Keep in mind that some dark paints may leave light stains on certain skin types, but they usually wash off after a second wash.

I also recommend not going to bed with face paint on, as it can stain the bedding. It's best to wash the child’s face before bedtime to avoid any issues.
How many children can you paint per hour?
Typically, a standard design takes about 6 minutes, but it can vary depending on the design's complexity. To make it easier for you, I’ve prepared several packages to choose from based on the number of children at the event and the desired duration. I guarantee that the agreed-upon price will cover everything, and I will have enough time to paint all the children within the scheduled time without any additional charges.

My design catalogs offer a range of options with varying levels of detail, allowing me to select simpler or more intricate designs based on the number of children and the time available for face painting.
How do you keep your paints and brushes clean?
Unlike regular makeup, which is meant for single-person use, face paints contain enough antibacterial ingredients to be safely used on multiple clients. Cleanliness is very important to me: I add a special disinfectant to the water for cleaning brushes between designs to eliminate bacteria.

After each event, I use baby wipes to clean the paints, and brushes, sponges, and stencils are washed and soaked in an alcohol solution.

I pay close attention to the quality and safety of all materials to ensure comfort and health for my little clients.
Which areas do you serve?
I travel to all areas of Austin. If you need me to come to another city, please let me know, and we can discuss the details.
